What Is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a natural medical system discovered two centuries ago by a German physician and chemist, Samuel Hahnemann. The fundamental principle of homeopathy is based on the law of similars (similia similibus curentur "like shall be cured by like") and uses active medicinal substances at infinitesimal doses (micro-doses). For example, coffee consumed before bedtime may cause insomnia, yet a homeopathic dose of coffee induces sleep.

For two hundred years, homeopathy has proved to be effective in treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries, whether physical, mental or emotional. Scientific research showed homeopathy's efficacy in numerous clinical studies published in prominent medical journals. Homeopathic medicines provide a safe and affordable alternative to over-the-counter medications whose often-dangerous side effects are evident. Homeopathy's safety and effectiveness makes it especially well suited in the treatment of infants, children, the elderly and pets.

How Safe Are Homeopathic Medicines?

Because such minute doses of medicinal substances are used, homeopathic medicines are extremely safe, non-toxic and free of adverse side effects.
This makes it the ideal form of treatment for the whole family.
Homeopathic medicines can be taken in conjunction with conventional medications without the concern of drug interaction. HomeoCare® homeopathic medicines are doctor formulated and regulated and registered by the FDA.

Homeopathic combination remedies are used for the self-treatment of common ailments and are easily identified since they are clearly labeled for the conditions that they treat. Typically, from 2 to 8 homeopathic remedies are combined in order to cover a broader range of symptoms. Combination medicines are very effective and easy to use. They provide a safe and affordable alternative to over-the-counter conventional drugs.

How Are Homeopathic Medicines Manufactured?

The substances used in the making or remedies can be from botanical, chemical, mineral or animal sources – they are reduced to a powder and soaked in a mixture of distilled water and alcohol and left to macerate for a minimum of 15 days.  The liquid is then filtered resulting in an extract called the Mother Tincture (T.M.). This is the first step in the preparation of a medicine.

The process by which homeopathic medicines are made is known as serial dilutions and succussions or dynamisations. A substance is diluted in water or alcohol (the solvent) to the ratio of 1 to 10 for decimal dilutions (X potency) or 1 to 100 for the centesimal dilutions (C potency) and is vigorously shaken after each dilution. This process is repeated as many times as necessary. This unique process removes all toxicity from the original substances while increasing their energetic powers.
HomeoCare® medicines are formulated and developed by renowned French homeopathic doctor, Dr. AC Quemoun, and manufactured using precise pharmaceutical methods in accordance with the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States in a FDA registered, modern homeopathic laboratory, where state-of-the-art equipment, premium quality of raw material combined with rigor and tradition, exceed the high standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Homeopathy is widely used throughout the world with growing satisfaction. Over 30 percent of Europeans use homeopathy. In France, over one third of family doctors prescribe homeopathic remedies.
